While there's continued controversy over the PS4-exclusive Spec Ops Survival mode, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has otherwise made a number of consumer-friendly decisions so far. This includes free DLC maps instead of a season pass, and releasing all of the DLC maps for every platform simultaneously. With Call of Duty: Modern Warfare itself having yet to launch, we understandably haven't learned of any post-launch DLC maps for the game, but a new leak may reveal some of the maps that Infinity Ward and Activision will have in store.


YouTuber TheGamingRevolution, known for Call of Duty leaks (many of which have turned out to be accurate), has revealed some of the classic maps that will supposedly be coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare after launch. Like with any "leak," we still advise that fans take the information with a grain of salt, though some of these maps are backed up by files discovered in datamines.



According to TheGamingRevolution, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is getting Shipment, Rust, Terminal, and a "new version" of Wet Work. Datamining efforts have found evidence of Shipment, Rust, and Terminal (with there being a full-blown render of Rust in the files already), though Wet Work hasn't been found. It's possible that Wet Work will actually be in the game under a different name since it's apparently a remake of the map.





The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare classic multiplayer maps aren't the only things to have leaked about the game lately. A full list of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer perks have leaked as well, revealing some rather interesting perks in the lineup. If the leak is accurate, players will be able to equip a perk called Pointman that will let them turn their killstreaks into scorestreaks, and Akimbo, which allows players to dual-wield pistols, will also be making a comeback.


While much of this information comes from datamines instead of just TheGamingRevolution's anonymous imgs, fans should still take it all with a grain of salt. Even so, it would make sense for Infinity Ward to bring back classic multiplayer maps for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and doing so may even appease those who are still upset by Spec Ops Survival's PS4 exclusivity.


Call of Duty: Modern Warfare launches on October 25 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
