Red Dead Redemption 2 is officially coming to PC in November, just over a year since it initially launched on PS4 and Xbox One. A PC port of Rockstar's latest open-world game has been highly anticipated since the game's initial launch. But now Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC is confirmed, PC gamers are faced with a different reality. It's time to evaluate whether everyone meets Red Dead Redemption 2's lofty PC specifications.

Today Rockstar revealed Red Dead Redemption 2's system requirements for PC and they're honestly not too severe. Both the minimum specifications and recommended specifications for RDR2 were included, so that PC gamers can figure out if it's time for an upgrade. Red Dead Redemption 2 is a hardware-intensive game due to its size, scope, and general visual quality. Picking up a new GPU to experience the game's open-world in as high a fidelity as possible could be a great investment.

There are a few notable specifications that are worth recognizing separate from the rest. The big one, literally, being Red Dead Redemption 2's required drive space. The huge open-world game will require a staggering 150GB of space total. And that's a required specification on both the minimum and recommended lists - there's no optional portion of the download. Hopefully, digital purchasers with data caps save up some of their download limit come Red Dead Redemption 2's launch on PC.

Also interesting is that Red Dead Redemption 2's recommended specifications call for 12GB of RAM. 12GB is a notch up compared to other PC games, which traditionally cap out at 8GB. But, being the huge open-world game that it is, Red Dead Redemption 2 will use those 12GB and any more available. Even the minimum specifications expected 8GB, where minimums typically go for less. CPU and GPU specifications are less demanding in comparison.

There's also a list of new features included with the PC release, the most exciting of which is are "new graphical and technical enhancements... including increased draw distances."

Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC is lining up to be something special, hopefully at least partially justifying the long wait in fans' minds.
