The last Wednesday of every month, Sony announces the free PlayStation Plus games for the following month. So as expected, Sony has pulled the curtain back on the free PS Plus games for December 2019. As usual, the free PS Plus games for December 2019 feature two PlayStation 4 games, though there is an added perk for PS Plus subscribers this month.

The two free PS Plus games for December 2019 are Titanfall 2 and Monster Energy Supercross: The Official VideogameTitanfall 2 is a critically-acclaimed first-person shooter from Respawn Entertainment, the studio behind Apex Legends and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen OrderMonster Energy Supercross is a licensed motorbiking game that earned mixed reviews. Titanfall 2 and Monster Energy Supercross: The Official Videogame will be free to download for PS Plus subscribers from Tuesday, December 3 to Monday, January 6.

With the free PS Plus games for December 2019 revealed, that means that time is running out for subscribers to claim the free PS Plus games for November 2019. Those included the Souls-like Nioh, which earned widespread critical acclaim at the time of its release, as well as the first-person horror game Outlast 2Outlast 2 similarly earned strong reviews, and in general the reception to the free PS Plus games for November 2019 was mostly positive.

However, the same can't be said for the free PS Plus games for December 2019. Perhaps this is because of the inclusion of Monster Energy Supercross, but it could also be do to the fact that one of the rumored free PS Plus games for December 2019 was God of War. Some fans may have gotten their hopes up that the God of War PS Plus rumor was true, and so it's understandable that they may feel let down by the free PS Plus games for December 2019.
