Fortnite's world-ending black hole event has ended, and now Chapter 2 of the battle royale game is live. And with Chapter 2 is a brand new season of Fortnite, complete with a new Battle Pass with its own weekly challenges, rewards, and of course, skins. This time around, players can get "Alter Ego" skins of other Fortnite Chapter 2 skins unlocked through the Battle Pass, with one Alter Ego skin looking suspiciously like a famous DC Comics villain.

The Fortnite Chapter 2 Riptide skin is the later ego of the Turk vs Riptide skin that players unlock as soon as they get the Battle Pass. Many Fortnite fans online have noted that the new skin looks an awful lot like Deathstroke from DC Comics, from his eye patch, to his facial hair, to his black and orange color scheme. More specifically, fans believe that the Fortnite Riptide skin looks like Joe Manganiello's take on Deathstroke as seen in the end credits scene of the 2017 Justice League film.

There's no denying that the new Fortnite Chapter 2 skin looks very similar to Deathstroke, and it's quite possible that this was done on purpose. Fortnite has been known to add lookalike skins of fictional characters in the past, with the most famous example being the John Wick skin that wasn't actually John Wick. Fortnite later got a proper John Wick skin, so maybe an official Deathstroke skin will make its way to the popular battle royale game eventually.

An official Fortnite Deathstroke skin seems like a real possibility, especially considering the game's history with DC Comics. Just recently, Fortnite hosted a special Batman-themed event, which saw Tilted Towers transformed to Gotham City, and added a variety of weapons based on the Caped Crusader.

In the meantime, those who want to unlock the unofficial Fortnite Deathstroke skin, they will need to complete two "missions," which translates to two weeks of challenges. The first set of Fortnite Chapter 2 challenges are now live in the game, and encourage players to explore the Chapter 2 map as well as tinker with some of the new gameplay mechanics, like fishing. So Fortnite players won't be able to unlock the Deathstroke skin until next week at the earliest.

Fortnite is out now for iOS, Android, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
