The floodgates on Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot information have been left open by Bandai Namco Entertainment here lately, with small details like the Farmer with a Shotgun cameo and bigger details like DBZ: Kakarot's full world map being recently revealed. Now, the upcoming action RPG has received a new trailer for Paris Games Week that focuses on the Fusion Saga and gives players a glimpse at gameplay of Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks.

The trailer opens up with Goku and Vegeta fusion to become Vegito, then shows a brief summoning of Shenron, and finally diverts to Gohan running to class. It shows Gohan and some brief gameplay of him in combat, in and out of the Great Saiyaman suit, before showcasing the World Tournament that took place at the beginning of the Majin Buu saga. It quick fast forwards, showing Dabura turning some of the Z Fighters to stone, and then briefly shows Majin Vegeta fight Majin Buu in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.

The trailer then hones in on the Fusion Saga by showcasing Goku teaching Goten and Trunks how to fuse. After that, fans of the franchise get to watch the iconic moment where Gotenks goes Super Saiyan 3 and begins his fight with Super Buu. The gameplay glimpse is brief, but it does showcase how his Super Ghost Kamikaze attack will appear in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.

After that, Adult Gohan gets some attention, even the portion where he lost the Potara Ring. The trailer draws to a close with Super Vegito facing off with Super Buu. While everything takes place at the rapid speed of Dragon Ball Z, it's a nice overview trailer that should hopefully build hype for the game whose playable characters are ever expanding and now include Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks.

Considering that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot's release date isn't until January 2020, many fans are likely wondering what the game has left to show. And while the trailers have done a lot to showcase the high moments from the show, the clarifications on original and filler content have not been as forthcoming. As such, there's still plenty to be revealed before or kept up its sleeve until the game releases.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is set to release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on January 17, 2020.
