Rumors about Diablo 4 have been circulating for years. The release of Diablo Immortal teased fans, and led to negative backlash because of its mobile format. However, the art of Diablo 4 being leaked, has once again, excited fans. Many will be hoping for an official announcement of the release of the game at Blizzcon 2019. The opening ceremony for Blizzcon 2019 begins today, and there is a growing expectation of word about Diablo 4.

The Diablo series is a classic dungeon crawler series, with action, hack and slash mechanics. Many have been waiting for a Diablo 2 remaster, yet a new title would surely please fans just as much. The leaked art came from an art book, 'The Art of Diablo'. While this doesn't concretely confirm the title, the alignment of the leak with Blizzcon 2019, will build anticipation for the game.

Twitter user, Reidor, posted about the images. The artbook lists the images as belonging to Diablo 4. There is a possibility that the images could be from a cancelled instalment of the series. Yet, it is important to remember that the same artbook has already been said to reveal Diablo 4's release. With that in mind, it is very likely that this art is attached to a project that is coming soon. With this news, a plethora of ideas on what features from the series should be in the next installment have come to light.

There are rumors that the new Diablo will feature 3 classes. Not only that, but these classes will nod to the previous installments. The game is set to feature the wizard class from Diablo 3, and the barbarian class introduced in Diablo 2. Many will be looking forward to seeing their favorite aspects of the series in a new installment, while updating the series for contemporary players. There has been a new villain leaked, and this are the kind of shake-ups that will benefit the returning series.

Time will tell if Diablo 4 is confirmed at Blizzcon 2019. After a turbulent couple of months for Blizzard, including lost sponsors. The company will be wanting to please fans with its announcements this year. A sure way to do gain fan support would be confirming Diablo 4. The series is not only a fan favorite, but seven years after Diablo 3, it is a long-overdue return.

Diablo 4 is rumored to be in development for unspecified platforms.
