Halloween is nearly a week away, but the fun will soon begin in Fortnite. With Chapter 2 in full swing, the surprises keep coming, and now players are seeing new skins enter the shop.

The return of the Skull Trooper and the Skull Ranger is kicking off the Fortnite Halloween event along with a new style for each skin. Both skins have more added detail, along with a few specialty items. Each one comes with options of a scythe for a pickaxe, a skeleton-faced backpack, and a creepy batwing glider. These items are only available during the Halloween event and will disappear from the store come November 5th.

Brainiac, Ghoul Trooper, and Raptor have all had a style upgrade as well. Each character has been added more detail along with a set of creepy emotes to slink your way through a match. Gamers can find all new sets of pets, backpacks, pickaxes, and gliders to accompany the new skins.

Past Fortnite Halloween skins have made such a splash that many players are still using them throughout the year. Some of the previous skins included Jack Gourdon a sort of David S. Pumpkins and Jack Skelington mashup, Dante the Dia De Los Muertos-style skin, and Straw Ops the Scarecrow-like fighter.

Unfortunately, the trash can glitch doesn't grant players access to new Dementor skins as some have theorized. However, a whole closet full of new looks that players can get excited for.

Aside from the updates to the classic gallery, Fortnite has also added more sorcerers, ghouls, and even a Slurp-covered prisoner. Some have uncovered a new emote that allows players to creep along like a zombie. The host of spooky characters keeps growing and will only be available for the limited-time event.

Although the characters are available now for purchase, Fortnightmares is rumored to launch on October 29th for the  v11.10 patch. Data miner HYPEX announced on Twitter that the next patches will be coming out on October 2nd, October 29th, November 5th, and November 12th. What the new Fortnightmares has in store for gamers is yet to be seen. Hopefully, there will be some kind of challenge to rival Apex's newest Halloween themed event, Shadowfall.

The upgrades starting in November may be more geared towards the upcoming holidays. In the meantime, Chapter 2 is promising even more in future updates to come.

Fortnite is available now for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Android, Xbox One, iOS, Microsoft Windows, and Macintosh.
