Since the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare last month, some fans have been expressing disappointment with the game's limited number of Spec Ops missions. Last week, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Update 1.09 looked to give some attention to these fans' concerns by adding two new Spec Ops missions, Harbinger and Brimstone, to this highly-popular shooter. However, that is not the end of the road for Spec Ops, as Infinity Ward has recently detailed four more new Spec Ops missions, and they will be arriving very soon.

These new Spec Ops missions will be coming as part of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season One, which is scheduled to begin next Tuesday, December 3, and fans should expect all four to arrive before the season's end. Additionally, Infinity Ward indicates that even more Spec Ops content is planned for Season One, and further details on this additional content should be available in the forthcoming weeks.

With respect to the specifics that the developer has already communicated, Bomb Squad is the first of the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Spec Ops missions being added in Season One, and it tasks players with defusing an explosive planted by forces aligned with Barkov. Grounded is another of the upcoming Spec Ops Experiences, and fans will be going up against an enemy who has taken control of Barkov's former airbase in this mission.

Pitch Black is the next new Spec Ops mission that has been detailed by Infinity Ward, and it will have fans infiltrating Barkov's former estate in search of intel. Finally, there is Just Reward, a CoD: MW Spec Ops mission that will send teams to hack the data center of an enemy financial operation.

All of this said, new Spec Ops missions are certainly not the only things that fans can expect in CoD: MW Season One. Described as the "biggest free content drop in Call of Duty history," this first season will additionally feature new maps, new weapons, new game modes, and more, and while fans may have a number of concerns about the current state of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, many will appreciate having new ways to play while these concerns are addressed.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
