Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has been the subject of a number of datamines since before it even launched, and dataminers haven't slowed down since then. The latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare datamine leaks two new weapons that will likely be added to the popular first-person shooter in future updates.

Twitter user and dataminer MrJaRnii has discovered two new weapons in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's files, though neither are available in the game proper at the time of this writing. The weapons in question are the Vector SMG and the crossbow, both of which have been featured in previous Call of Duty games.

This is the first time that we've heard of the Vector SMG coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, but this isn't the first time that we've caught wind of the crossbow. In fact, Infinity Ward itself has teased that the crossbow is coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, as the weapon can be seen on a poster on the new Krovnik Farmland Ground War map. Another frequent Call of Duty leaker, TheGamingRevolution, has also said that the crossbow is coming to the game, so the evidence for it is stacking up pretty high.

As can be seen in the video shared by MrJaRnii, both the Vector SMG and crossbow in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare appear to be finished, so one has to imagine that they will be added to the game sooner rather than later. Unfortunately, neither weapon was made available in the latest update, though the new 1.08 Update does make some other changes that will likely please fans of the game.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Update 1.08 is available now across all platforms, and it fixes some ongoing stability issues, problems with footsteps, bugs, and more. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Update 1.08 also makes some more, much-needed balance changes, as Infinity Ward has once again nerfed the 725 shotgun. Whether or not this particular 725 shotgun nerf goes far enough in making the weapon less overpowered remains to be seen, however.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players can count on Infinity Ward updating the game regularly with balance changes, fixes, and new content like the leaked Vector SMG and crossbow. As for when these new weapons will actually be added to the game, that remains to be seen, but we can't imagine it will take too much longer.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
