Eagle-eyed players of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare have been vigilant in discovering everything the game has to offer, including a number of unintentional bugs and glitches left in by developer Infinity Ward. A Reddit user shared an issue found with the game's hacking perk that prevents players from being able to properly use killstreaks in a post made Friday.

The problem appears to be associated with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's E.O.D. perk, which is designed to allow players to hack into enemy gear, turning opponents' claymores and proximity mines against them. According to the Reddit post, dying while using the perk can result in the player's heads-up display failing to appear on screen upon respawning. In addition to removing critical information like team scores and the radar/minimap, the bug also prevents the player from deploying killstreaks, the extra abilities granted for performing well in multiplayer matches that the Call of Duty series is famous for.

The original poster sharing the glitch stated that the problem could temporarily be fixed by performing a hack on another enemy device. The issue was also found by several users in the replies to the post, with players mentioning that playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's Ground War mode became impossible without being able to tell the difference between friendly and enemy players. Issues with camera movement after deploying the perk were also mentioned by some fans.

The E.O.D. perk itself has already proven problematic for players, with a previous patch breaking the animation used to activate the ability for players on PC and the PlayStation 4. Players have taken Infinity Ward to task for several other issues that have emerged in the title, including characters' hitboxes preventing damage from registering consistently, as well as balancing problems for weapons like the 725 shotgun and M4A1 assault rifle, issues with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's skill-based matchmaking system, and the match-ending Nuke killstreak granted at 30 uninterrupted eliminations failing to function.

Despite the game's growing pains, in the three weeks since its launch Modern Warfare has already become the best selling game of 2019, racking up $600 million in sales for Infinity Ward and publisher Activision.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
