Recently, Activision and Tencent released a Call of Duty Mobile community update that teased a "classic" would be appearing in the mobile shooter on Monday, October 14. Now that October 14 has come, we know that the "classic" the developers were referring to was none other than the fan favorite multiplayer mode Gun Game, which is live in Call of Duty Mobile right now for a limited time.

Gun Game in Call of Duty Mobile functions as one would expect if they've played it in the home console Call of Duty games. Everyone starts with the same gun, and each kill lets players advance to the next weapon. The final weapons are the most difficult to get kills with, as players have to use sniper rifles, pistols, and finally, a knife. The first player to get a kill with all of the weapons wins the match.

Call of Duty Mobile's Gun Game will be available for a month's time. While it's live, players will have special quests to complete that will help them earn extra XP and level up their battle pass. In the meantime, Call of Duty Mobile players can still play the Free-for-All mode as well, which will be in the game until this coming Friday.

The Call of Duty Mobile community update didn't just mention Gun Game, though. It also teased that the developers are still looking into incorporating Call of Duty Mobile controller support. Whether or not the feature actually gets added to the game remains to be seen, but Call of Duty Mobile controller support does seem to be a highly-requested feature for fans of the game.

In the meantime, fans can expect Call of Duty Mobile to be updated with new content like this on a regular basis. After all, Call of Duty Mobile has already proven to be a smash hit, and the developers will want to support it for the long-term. It's hard to say exactly what future updates will bring to Call of Duty Mobile, but we do know that a Zombies mode of some kind is in the works for the mobile game.

Call of Duty Mobile is out now for iOS and Android mobile devices.
