With Thanksgiving just a week away, it's time to start making Black Friday shopping plans. For those who prefer to stay at home rather than brave the crowds, Amazon is perhaps the best alternative. The online retailer has, as ever, big plans for Thanksgiving week and Black Friday. Perhaps the best part of Amazon's plans is that sales start November 22, allowing shoppers over a full week to make their purchases. The Black Friday sale ends November 29, though Amazon's certain to follow it up with a Cyber Monday (or Cyber Week) sale.

Amazon has released several teasers for its Black Friday plans regarding video games. These teasers don't include exact numbers, shoppers will have to check out Amazon during the sale for those, but it does provide an idea of what will be on sale and a general sense of how big the discounts will be. These teasers seem to be largely focused on video game consoles and hardware, for what it's worth.

Much like other retailers have been promising for Black Friday, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch will be available as part of the sale. Amazon says that buyers can look forward to 33% off the PS4 Slim 1TB bundle, discounts on Xbox One, and a Nintendo Switch console bundled with a digital copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Amazon also teases discounts on PC gaming laptops, desktops, monitors, components and accessories, as well as the Oculus Rift S VR headset.

Other discounts hinted at in Amazon's teased plans include up to 33% off certain Nintendo Joy-Con controllers for the Nintendo Switch, as well as up to 30% off select Nintendo Switch games. These are discounts that have also been listed at other retailers, with games including The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey discounted for the holiday.

While Amazon's teased Black Friday discounts are certainly worth taking note of by shoppers planning for the holiday, these discounts are clearly just the start of Amazon's plans. Amazon has already started rolling out Lightning Deals, Daily Deals, and more. Resident Evil 2 is discounted to $21.51, with digital Capcom games discounted up to 80% overall. Similar sales for Square Enix and 2K digital games are ongoing. The only way to keep up with all of the deals is to watch Amazon like a hawk, which is exactly what Amazon would like.

Amazon Black Friday sales begin November 22 and will last through November 29.
